Visit our Fur Seal colony in Plettenberg Bay.

The Brown Fur Seal (Arctocephalus pusillus) or also known as Cape Fur Seal are endemic at the shore line of South Africa and Australian. They are living only in the southern hemisphere.

The male becoming 2,5m and the female reach 1,8m length and they are the largest of there genus. The Fur Seals have ears which one can see clearly if you come close enough. Around 2500 seals are living in Robberg Nature Reserve direct in the Bay of Plettenberg Bay. You are able to watch them by a hiking trip on Robberg Peninsula or visit them by a boot trip. Also you are able to visit the colony by kayak (you have to be well trained) or you are able to book swimming and diving trips with the seals. Seals are playful and beautiful animals and they act in the water with incredible grace.
